Science of Beer: The Beer Blending Experience
Blending beers has been going on for centuries. In breweries it is often used for consistency across batches, but more commonly to add complexity to beers. Beer blending is used to combine batch strengths, marry young and old vintages to pull out the best of both, or throw together wholly different styles to create something entirely new.
Join us for a night of beer education in two parts:
(1) Blending of clean beers with Kevin Smolar, Chief Science Guy
(2) Blending of sour/spirits barrel-aged beers with Andrew Hood, Barrel Manager
This is a ladies only event and tickets are limited! The cost of this event is canned food items for Food Rescue: (http://www.foodrescue.net)!
