Inspiring Chapters: Community Gatherings of Inspiration, Challenge, and Resolve
With the goal of robust and diverse community, Inspiring Chapters is a series of four community conversations in which participants are asked to do three things: (a) personally commit to monthly book-readings or movie-watching, (b) join a larger group meeting each month to talk about the books/movies, and (c) enlist one person to join you in this experience. We're asking that you invite a "community partner" to participate with you who is of a different racial identity, defined as someone who personally identifies as part of a different racial group than yourself. We are at a point in our nation's history when it is no longer enough to do things in our own "lanes." We must take personal responsibility in sharing inspiration, learning from one another, and building diverse community. Participating with someone who is meaningful in your life is one important way to practice these important values.
The monthly conversations will include both small-group and full-group dialogues. Participating as partners enriches all of our learning.
The cost for participation in Inspiring Chapters is $100 + the cost, in this four-part series, of movie rentals. Your $100 registration covers the participation fee of you + your community partner. Inspiring Chapters will be limited to 100 sign-ups, thereby allowing 200 participants in total including community partners.
The schedule of monthly gatherings:

Thursday, February 15, 6-9 pm: "East Side Sushi" film
Thursday, March 15, 6-9 pm: A surprise, TBA
