When: Sunday, November 5th (3pm-5pm) Where: The Paris Apothecary 692 Federal Street Paris, VA 20130
In this hands on workshop, youll learn how to make herbal cordials- a delicious, seasonal, and versatile way to incorporate herbal goodness into your everyday life. Cordials can be sipped neat, added to cakes, pies, syrups and other desserts, added to marinades and glazes, and of course, used in delicious herbal cocktails and digestifs!
We'll discuss common types of cordials- for celebrating the season, cold and flu, trouble sleeping, and aphrodisiac cordials. You will be provided with the instruction, recipes, herbs, and fruit needed to make your cordial --just bring 750mL of a spirit of your choosing and an 8oz jar or two. For your spirit, I recommend either brandy or vodka, but gin, whiskey, tequila, and port can also be delicious!
Katelyn is a folk herbalist, gardener, and forager, and the heart & soul behind Hey Thanks Herbal Company, a small-batch apothecary located in Baltimore, MD. Fee: $30 *This workshop is limited to 15 students - so make sure to reserve your space asap!*
