An Afternoon with Holly Near, hosted by Resonance Women's Chorus
Renowned singer/songwriter and activist Holly Near will perform on Saturday, November 11, in a concert/community sing hosted by Resonance Women's Chorus. The performance is at the First United Methodist Church, 1421 Spruce St., Boulder, at 3:00 p.m.
Holly Near's singing has been a sound track for social change activists during the 45 years of her remarkable career, inspiring generations of artists and world citizens to commit their hearts and talents to peace and justice. In these times--when it is easy to become discouraged, even horrified--Resonance Women's Chorus invites our community to come together to sing and rise up with the music of Holly Near.
The concert will offer solo performance by Holly Near and accompanist John Bucchino, with numerous opportunities for the audience to join in throughout the show. The 125-voice Resonance Women's Chorus will open the concert with a short set.
