Nutcracker Friday Night
Ventura County Ballet Company (VCBC) will once again dance into the hearts of local residents during the holiday season as it brings back its acclaimed production of "The Nutcracker". The enchanting choreography with Tchaikovsky's famed score accompanied by the Ventura College Symphony Orchestra will add to the ambiance making a memorable holiday event for families. The only ballet in town with a full 52 piece live orchestra. This year, the celebrated ballet company will perform the family classic Dec. 8th at the newly renovated Ventura College Performing Arts Center.
Guests are invited to take a magical journey into the world of life-sized mice, dancing sweets and of course, a magical prince. The VCBC's adaptation of the theatrical event will bring the holiday tradition to life by thrilling audiences with its captivating storytelling, larger-than-life imagery, visual effects and opulent costumes.

We are sorry to report that Ventura College has informed us their campus will be closed untilMonday.
In a week filled with overwhelming and terrible news we have also been reminded of the resilience of the human spirit as several families report their dancer responded to news of eminent emergency evacuation by first grabbing their pointe shoes. We intend to honor that spirit.
Ventura College has offered to shift our performances toFriday December 15th at 7pm,Saturday the 16that2pm & 7pm, andSunday the 17that2pm.
If you have already purchased tickets they will automatically be transferred to the corresponding date on the following week. For example a ticket purchased forFriday, December 8 at 7 PMwill automatically transfer toFriday, December 15 at 7 PM.You will not need to re-purchase.
If you would prefer to purchase a ticket for a different available performance you may do so by calling Brown Paper Tickets directly at 1-800-838-3006.
We understand this is inconvenient in a week when we have all had to respond to great challenges. We hope that you will rally in support of our new dates and join us in the spirit of the season.
