Artist Statement Writing Workshop
BURNAWAY's popular Artist Statement Writing Workshop is back!
Geared for emerging and midcareer artists, or those needing to fine-tune their elevator pitch, the workshop will focus on demystifying the writing process, clarifying the purpose of a statement and what it should (and should not) include.
BURNAWAY's Executive Editor Stephanie Cash will lead the workshop, provide writing tips and feedback, and a peer-to-peer critique.
The workshop is limited to 15 participants. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
*To maximize time for in-class discussion and editing, participants will be asked to submit a copy of their current artist statement prior to the workshop. If you don't have one, we'll fix that!
WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 18, 11am-2pm
WHERE: MOCA GA, Education Center on the lower level
