Emerald Ridge Theatre ANTIGONE
One of best known tragedies of Greek dramatist Sophocles, Antigone tells the classic tale of a young woman unwilling to follow a law that blatantly contradicts what she knows to be right. Defying the law of the stubborn and arrogant king, Antigone chooses to do what is right despite the dire consequence. The king learns the hard way that foolishness lies not in being wrong, but in being too prideful to admit the error and heed the good advice of others.
