WTS November Lunch Program Bike Share
Across the nation, cities such as Chicago, Kansas City, Boston, San Antonio, Denver, and Washington, DC have implemented public bike sharing programs, and the Puget Sound is no exception. Currently, more than 40 North American cities have bike share programs. WTS Puget Sound is excited to bring you a program on bike share from different perspectives- the operator, the agency, and the user/institution.
The Seattle Department of Transportation started a pilot program in July 2017 to allow bike share companies to operate in the City under a permit. There are now three bike share companies operating in the City and each are allowed up to 1,000 bikes. Come learn from the operator, the agency, and the user/institution a perspective on whats happening and whats next for bike share.
Speakers:
Andrew Glass Hastings, SDOT's Transit & Mobility Director Anne Eskridge, UW Director of Transportation Services Kyle Rowe, Spin
