Detroit's own Booty Bass pioneer DJ Assault has had a large hand in bringing ghetto-tech, aka booty music, from the urban streets of Detroit to the suburban club circuit. The incorporation of electro beats with hardcore, sometimes pornographic lyrics, is what makes ghetto-house highly distinguishable from its other techno cousins.
His track "Ass -N- Titties" (Released in on his self run Jefferson Ave label ) featured in a scene in 22 Jump Street an American comedy film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film was released on June 13, 2014, by Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, received generally positive reviews, and earned over $308 million at the box office.
Another early DJ Assault track, Tear Da Club Up, was recently sampled by Darius Syrossian who used Dj Assaults vocal to make it a house track. Darius made the track in the summer of 2013 especially for his BBC 1 essential mix. The track is being played from Ibiza to Japan, by many underground house deejays including Dirty Bird label boss and international deejay / producer Claude Von Stroke, who seems to make it his trademark to insert ghetto-bass elements into his house sets.

DJ Ray

With over 18 years behind the decks, DJ Ray has developed a truly unique style of seamlessly blending his tracks to keep the energy high and the dance floor moving. His unparalleled work on the mixer will leave your ears craving for more. With early influences like: Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan and DJ Bam Bam, Ray was inspired to create hard hitting sets that would drive the masses to dance. A stranger to no genre, DJ Ray spins: House, Hip-Hop, Glitch Hop, Drum & Bass, Trap, Dubstep, Trance and anything that moves
him. Recently in 2011 DJ Ray stepped back into the world and went to work for Easty Productions spinning twice a month at Carlins Tavern. Then in 2012 they teamed up to put on The Party, a weekly EDM night at Whiplash in Stoughton, MA. Acting as the resident DJ; Ray spun alongside Jeff LeClair, Tony Dispirito, and Soappy, a short lived project but a step in the right direction.
In 2013 Ray joined up with Addiktive Beats Crew; a South Shore based team who brought you Delirium in Quincy, MA. Delerium had Ray putting not only his DJ skills to work but his graphic design skills as well. Ray was the creative mind behind all the Delirium graphics from 2013 to 2015. Delirium brought out some of the biggest talent in the New England Scene such as; DJ Venom, DJ Knowledge, Parallax, Midas, Mike Skillz, DJ Wubson and many, many more. At the end of 2016, Ray joined on with Kick it Recordings and is now a resident DJ with Subterra at the Cove in Worcester, MA. Subterra is an underground weekly that showcases the best DJs New England has to offer along with regional and international guests. Ray is now on a journey (into sound) to make his name known across the South Shore and beyond. His recent accomplishments include winning Live Free & Dances mix contest and performing a set at their party, Sugar: Booty and Bass, at the Artist Development Center in Southbridge, MA. He was then featured on The Audio Spectrum 7-9-2014 spinning a Glitch Hop set in the second hour. In February 2015 he won the Tight Crew Mix Contest and performed a set at Booty and the Beats 3. Ray also can be found subbing in for a lot of his friends and can be heard spinning open format sets Friday and Saturday nights in various venues such as: Cityside (Boston, MA) South Side Tavern (Braintree, MA) The Half Door (Quincy, MA) Northstar (Boston, MA) Kellys Cellar (Quincy, MA) Iron Furnace (Quincy, MA) Fuji (Quincy, MA) Clash of the Ash (Quincy, MA) Follow him on twitter

In 2010 Toreba became an artist, promotions manager, and writer for the worldwide record label Kick It Recordings. With a myriad of live shows under his belt and thousands of hours on the radio, Toreba Spacedrift relies on his experience and intuition to bring dancers and listeners a new and exciting journey, each and every time he plays. He utilizes impeccable mixing techniques, vocal rich tracks, and sub pounding, heavy bass action to get those feet moving!
Toreba Spacedrift also hosts a weekly radio show on the award winning and mighty NSB Radio every Monday from 12-2pm EST! Entertaining listeners since 2013 with an eclectic collection of ever changing, dance fueled tunes, Toreba Spacedrift has become a staple at the heavyweight station as he is known for throwing down sets regularly, ranging anywhere from 2 - 10 hours in length!
