Rumors
Rumors is a farcical play by Neil Simon.

Several affluent couples gather in the posh suburban residence of a couple for a dinner party celebrating their hosts' tenth anniversary. However, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host - the deputy mayor of New York City - has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone's upper class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening's events from the local police and the media.

Cast:

Ken: Ric Teves

Ric was exposed to community theater watching his very talented wife perform in Marion. When the male lead walked off the production three days before opening night, Ric walked in and has never looked back. Since then, he has been seen in Sylvia, Gold in the Hills, Rumors (where he played Ken Gorman the first time!), I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!, and Romantic Fools. He looks forward to working with PCT again, having most recently been seen in our 2012 The Christmas House! It has been a joy to work with Theresa and the talented cast and production people for Rumors, including his wife, Kim. A wonderful daughter and three great bonus kids round out his everyday cast.

Chris: Sheila Kelleher

Sheila is happy to be part of such a funny show with such a talented cast. She has performed for many local theater groups over the past hundred years, having been seen as Sister Robert Anne in Bay Player's production of Nunsense, Olive Madison in the Female Odd Couple with Hat Trick Theatre, Maria Merelli in Nemasket River's Lend Me a Tenor, as well as Linda Porter in PCT's production of Red, Hot and Cole. Thanks to Theresa for allowing yet another opportunity to do what she loves so much - to wear a nice dress. Sheila is a long-time Plymouth resident where she is currently enjoying the most rewarding role of all  Grandma!

Lenny: Jonathan Markella

Jonathan is marking two "firsts" with Rumors - his first role with PCT and his first Neil Simon production. Jonathan has played many roles for Duxbury's Bay Players, including Paul Billings in Drinking Habits, Bert Jefferson in The Man Who Came to Dinner and Charlie Martin in On Golden Pond. He has also appeared as Frank in Miss Peggy Fleming at the Boston Playwrights' Theater, and Merv Kant in The Sisters Rosensweig at the Cohasset Dramatic Club. In addition, he was an Emmy-nominated TV host of Fan Attic on NESN. Jonathan has two daughters, Morgan and Kelley, and resides in his hometown of Duxbury.

Claire: Kim Teves

Kim is a relative newcomer to PCT, having debuted in our 2012 production of The Christmas House. Recent work has primarily been with the Marion Art Center, where she has appeared in over a dozen productions (including the role Claire in Rumors). Kim began her theatre work 35 years ago in her native Cheshire, CT, then went on to perform in NYC for several years. Now, when not performing or teaching theatre classes, Kim acts as Executive Director for the Sippican Historical Society. She is also the proud mother of three, stepmother of one and spouse of fellow cast member, Ric.

Ernie: Jon LeClair

Jon is enjoying his second opportunity to work with PCT! The first was in the production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, where he made his stage debut. Other recent shows include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with Hat Trick Theatre and The Matchmaker with Bay Players of Duxbury. When not acting, Jon can be found putting buildings up or cutting trees down in his hometown of Plymouth.

Cookie: Paula Dellatte

Paula's passion for cinema and Broadway started at an early age, as a native New Yorker. Her acting career began in local theater productions as Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Gladys Hotchkiss in The Pajama Game and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, to name a few. After moving to southern Mass, Paula put her acting aspirations on hold to raise her family. In 2009, a chance conversation led to her first acting class with Kevin Lasit in Sandwich, which she continues to this day. Paula has amassed many credits in film and television, most recently with supporting roles in the indie feature Justice is Mind and in the short film Don't Let Go. One of the highlights for Paula this past year was working on the set of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Paula is excited to return to the stage with PCT as Cookie.
Glenn: Josh Rioux

Cassie: Kim Waller

Kimberly is thrilled to be making her debut performance with PCT in Rumors! Kimberly graduated from the Bridgewater State University Theatre Department in 2011 and has since been performing for film and stage and directing locally. Past theatre credits include Mae in The Wild Party (Friends of Durfee), Telephone Girl in Machinal (Bridgewater State University), and Genvieve in The Dinosaur Musical (BSU). Kimberly also acts for Big Smile Entertainment taking on the roles of Suzy Snowflake, Mary Lou and Luala in different variety shows that tour New England. She is planning on attending graduate school to pursue acting and directing. She would like to thank the cast and crew of Rumors for making this a memorable experience!

Welch: Jim Devlin

Jimmy is thrilled to be playing Officer Welch in Rumors. This is his first time acting since high school and couldn't be happier. He is excited to be working with such a great cast and crew.

Crew:

Theresa Chiasson (Director)

Theresa is psyched to be working with some of her favorite people on this fun, fun show. She was last seen as Sandra in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, a woman of many faces in The Dining Room, and Clairee in Steel Magnolias, all at PCT, and this past fall she directed Steel Magnolias with Cohasset Dramatic Club. She has just finished filming the first season of Family Problems, a web series which premiered on YouTube on February 17. Theresa would like to express her sincere thanks to Kasey, Paulie, Meg, Mark, Patrick, and Caleb for all they did, to the amazing cast for their talent and willingness to take chances and especially to Brian, for designing the beautiful set, for managing all things large and small and for keeping me sane(?) in the process. And a special thanks to all of you for the part you play in the magic that is live theater.

Brian Drinkwater (Stage Manager)

Once a sane and stable individual, our Stage Manager appears to have lost his mind. This artist, formally known as "Brian Drinkwater", has insisted that we refer to him as "Twisted H2O" or simply by the symbol seen to the left of this bioas if anyone in their right mind would prefer to be recognized as a symbol instead of by name. But, PCT's opinions aside, we've decided to appease this lunatic and ask that you do the same. So when you see the show, please address this individual by his preferred "Twisted H2O" or if you'd like, hold a copy of his logo high in the air. Just as the Bat Signal is used to summon the Caped Crusader, this act will surely send our Stage Manager your way. Let's just hope that he left his spandex at home this time.

Paulie Devlin (Assistant Stage Manager)
