2017-18 Winter Showcase Concert
Winter concert of Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra's Cadet String Orchestra and Debut String Orchestra; also the BYSO Youth Symphony performs with the winner of BYSO's 2017-18 Concerto Competition, cellist Daniel Yoo.
Pre-concert lecture:
Composer Ian Edlund, whose piece An Olympic Trilogy will be performed by Debut String Orchestra in this concert, will give a free pre-concert lecture beginning at 6:20 pm. Edlund will speak on Cultural Diversity for Young Orchestras, including what it was like working with Coast Salish musical motifs to compose An Olympic Trilogy and how borrowed material becomes an original composition.
Online ticket sales for this concert have ended; please purchase at the door. The box office will open at 5:45 pm.
