THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST

A favourite at No.28 in Belper, storyteller & dramatist Marty Ross (21st Century Poe, The Storm Bride, Ballad Of The Driftwood Mermaid) returns with his latest show, a Victorian ghost story for Christmas in the great tradition of creepy tales by the Xmas fireside.

In this latest dramatic show from the man dubbed by BBC Scotland as "the Glaswegian master of radio horror" and by Broadway Baby as "a master craftsman who never turns down the pressure," a young woman homeless in the streets of Victorian Glasgow is offered an act of charity by a lonely Minster of the Kirk - a chance to stay in his grand home for the Christmas season. But there is more to this kind offer than meets the eye as dark secrets emerge from the surrounding snowy landscape.

Those who have attended Ross' previous shows will know that this is not storytelling of the "chatty anecdote" school, but full blown theatrical drama, thrilling and visceral, what Fringe Review called "a fairground ghost ride for the 21st. century". Not for the easily unnerved!
