MARCUS MOSELY CHORALE "Singing for a Cause"
The Marcus Mosely Chorale (a community choir, now in its 7th season, with a musical focus on African-American Gospel music) proudly presents a Fundraising Concert for the Lion's Gate Gogos Chapter on Sunday,October 22nd.
The Grandmothers' Campaign recognizes African grandmothers are central to the life of their communities. With almost no support, they have stepped forward to care for millions of children orphaned by AIDS.
Canadians have raised more than $24 million for African grandmothers through the Grandmothers to Grandmothers (Gogos) Campaign. Resources from the Campaign are invested directly at community level, with grass roots organizations that provide grandmothers and the children in their care with supports that include food, educational supplies, uniforms, school fees, medical care, HIV counseling & testing, adequate housing & bedding.
Join us in a wonderful afternoon of song. Our guests are the Honours Choir from West Vancouver School District.
