Peter Gethers
Peter Gethers, author of My Mothers Kitchen, wants to give his aging mother a very personal and perhaps final gift: a spectacular feast featuring all her favorite dishes. The problem is, although he was raised to love food he doesn't really know how to cook. So he embarks upon an often hilarious and always touching culinary journey to honor his mother, Judy Gethers, who discovered a passion for cooking in her 50s and whose own parents owned the Jewish dairy restaurant, Ratner's. Peter Gethers is an author, screenwriter, playwright, book editor and film and television producer.
Single tickets are $18 each; Premier Passes (good for all JBF author events throughout the year) are $99.00.
Free student tickets are available only at the J's Box Office at the Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur or at the door of the event with a valid ID.
