Greta Matassa

Join us for our 1st Evening Concert of the Jazz Club of Sarasota's 2017-2018 Season!. Greta Matassa has been voted "Northwest Vocalist of the Year" by Earshot Jazz Seven times in 15 years! She was voted again, Vocalist of the Year in 2014 and honored with a lifetime achievement award and inducted into the Earshot Jazz Hall of Fame in 2014. Greta has been a mainstay on Seattle's Jazz stages for many years and with her recent successful dates at New York's Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center, tours in Russia, Singapore and Hawaii, Japan and New Orleans, Greta's sound is now reaching new audiences.
Joining Greta will be Clipper Anderson, one of the Northwest's leading Bassists who plays all styles on acoustic and electric bass, Joe Delaney, a world class piano player of extraordinary skill, Jeff Rupert, tenor saxophonist who has been described by Mel Torme...."Jeff Rupert, he is dynamite!",and Mark Feinman, renowned drummer who has toured Italy and France, with performances at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy and Jazz a Juan in Juan Les Pins in France.
