Ragroof Tea Dance at King Alfred Ballroom

Join The Ragroof Players on Armistice Day, which on 11 November 2018 commemorates the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Well whizz you back to 1918, when After Youve Gone, a quick-time foxtrot, was top of the pops; Charleston and Ragtime were in full flow; and Kaiser Bills ban on the vulgar Tango only added to its popularity in France and England!
Desert Ivan Discs will be playing an eclectic mix of vintage tunes; Dorothys Shoes will be taking you through your paces on the dancefloor; and our gorgeous dancing couple Anna and Sasza will be presenting some dazzling displays from the Naughty Nineteens.
No need to bring a dance partner as our welcoming hosts and inclusive instant dance classes throughout the afternoon mean that no-one will end up as a wallflower.
Tea is included in the entrance price, and delicious cakes will be on sale on the day.
There is a bar at this venue.

Concessions are available for people on lower incomes, children under the age of 16, students and those in receipt of welfare benefits. Please select the price you feel is appropriate for you, we don't ask for proof of concessionary status.
