A LITERARY EVENING: REMEMBERING THE LEGACY OF MIGUEL DELIBES
With the presence of Elisa Delibes de Castro, daughter of Miguel Delibes and the Director of the Miguel Delibes Foundation
Elisa Delibes, daughter of the writer Miguel Delibes and Javier Ortega, Executive Director of the Miguel Delibes Foundation, will discuss his life and work.
The Program:
5 pm - Javier Ortega Álvarez will introduce the Miguel Delibes Foundation and its mission. The Foundation was created in 2011, on the first anniversary of the writers death.
5:30 pm- Elisa Delibes, Miguel Delibes daugther, will talk about her fathers personality and his writing method.
6:00 pm - Film Screening: El disputado voto del señor Cayo (1986). In Spanish. 94 minutes. Director: Antonio Giménez Rico
El disputado voto del Sr. Cayo" is a novel by Miguel Delibes, published in 1978, which tells of the meeting of two very different ways of life: the young people who come to campaign in the deserted village of Castile and the "Sr. Cayo" (Francisco Rabal), one of two villagers.
