The Foreigner presented by Bellevue Civic Theatre
From the playwright of the hit comedy The Nerd, comes another delightful, comic romp, winner of two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards as Best New American Play and Best Off-Broadway Production. When "Froggy" brings a pathologically shy young man named Charlie with him on a visit to a Georgia hunting lodge, he tells all the folks there Charlie is an exotic foreigner who speaks no English. Once "Froggy" leaves, the hilarity heats up as Charlie is left to hear more than he should and ends up in a wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the "bad guys" while the "good guys" emerge triumphant.
