Year End Event for Western Canada Chapter, Special Libraries Association
When: Monday, November 27th. Doors at 6:15pm, keynote address at 7:15pm.
Where: The Post @ 750, an event space located at 750 Hamilton Street in downtown Vancouver (on Hamilton, between Robson and Georgia).
What: Our keynote speaker, CBC Vancouver meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe, will be speaking to the parallel challenges faced by libraries and the media industry as advances in technology change the way our clients and audiences navigate the world around them. She will also be addressing her experiences communicating specialized information and research to non-specialist audiences, including leveraging her podcasts, Fault Lines and 2050: Degrees of Change.
Catered snacks and a beverage of your choice is included with your ticket and will be available from 6:15pm. Additional drinks available from the cash bar.
This event is open to all information professionals and interested students.
