Autumn Leaves: Music and Words for Fall
Autumn Leaves: Words and Music for Fall
With songs from Irving Berlin to Andrew Lloyd Webber and poetry by Frank Wilson.
Elisabeth Wagner, singer, and Frank Wilson, poet and presenter, will explore the many facets of fall -- the change of seasons, autumn as a metaphor for lost love, and some memorable fall events -- fowl suppers, Thanksgiving, and Remembrance Day. With the wonderful Charlotte Hale on piano.
Elisabeth and Frank did a similar program on the theme of summer in 2015. If you enjoyed it, or if you missed it, you will enjoy this charming program evoking the many moods of autumn.
Elisabeth is a mezzo-soprano and creator of Bell'Arte Music Drama. Her most recent play production was Alice's Gift, the life story of pianist and Holocaust survivor, Alice Herz-Sommer. Frank has written and published poetry and short stories, the most recent being Apple Man. He also is an animated presenter -- Just like Downton? being one recent example. He is working on his third set of stories. You will have seen Charlotte Hale frequently on recital platforms, collaborating with singers and instrumentalists. She also has a teaching studio.
Looking for some lovely music and evocative poetry to lighten your spirits? We hope to see you in the audience.
