MCT's Miracle on 34th Street - The Play
Join us for MCTs 10th production (and first since 2012) of its very own "Miracle on 34th Street, The Play, written by MCT's founders and first produced in 1982. This holiday favorite directed by Peter Gelblum tells the heart-warming story, familiar to most from the classic 1947 film, of a gentle old man named Kris Kringle who believes he is Santa Claus and who uses kindness and generosity to convince a little girl, and then everyone else that he is, in fact, St. Nick.
From the Santa Cruz Sentinel: "This is a tale that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards; what we want Christmas to be all about, really."
*Join us for a champagne reception after the show on opening night, 11/16.
*Talkbacks after the shows on November 25 and December 2.
