Eclipse de sol / El cura Lorenzo
Eclipse del sol  (Eclipse of the Sun)  (Argentina, 1943)

A singer secretly marries a wealthy landowner who soon returns to his ranch, fearing the rejecting of his snobbish family.  To teach him a lesson, she shows up at his estancia pretending to be a maid.  A white telephone comedy with lovely musical numbers, Eclipse de sol is peppered with sentimental touches and a dash of sex farce.

DCP, b/w, 84 min.  Director: Luis Saslavsky.  Cast: Libertad Lamarque, George Rigaud, Pedro Quartucci, Angelina Pagano.

El cura Lorenzo  (Argentina, 1954)

In this heartwarming biopic, Father Massa, an athletic young priest in the early 1900s, is sent to serve a working-class community where he overcomes its hostility to form one of the best soccer clubs in Argentina.

DCP, b/w, 89 min.  Director: Augusto Cesar Vatteone. Cast: Ángel Magaña, Tito Alonso, Arturo Arcari, Nelly Meden.
