Fear, Love, and Agoraphobia screening with The Ascent
Synopsis: An agoraphobic man and female Marine struggle to escape their personal prisons.
Director: Alex D'Lerma got his start in show business as a radio personality at the age of seventeen. His popular show got him on the air in Los Angeles where he trained and worked as an actor and filmmaker. In 2006 he founded "The Cinema Gym" Acting & Directing for camera workshop and "The Looping Walla Group." Mr. D'Lerma teaches acting and directing at his Cinema Gym in Burbank and periodically for UCLA Extension. His latest feature film "Fear, Love, and Agoraphobia" is scheduled for release in 2016.

Synopsis: A young woman returns to a centuries-old redwood grove -- the site of a long-ago environmental protest -- to face her past, 250 feet in the air.
Director: Sorrel Brae (director/writer) is an award-winning filmmaker and director of commercials for major American brands, including GE, Toyota, Mizuno, and the National Football League, among many others. He won the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions festival, along with many other awards. His short films The Trial of Barnaby Finch, A Film By Vera Vaughn, and Love and Stuff have screened nationally and internationally, at the New York Shorts Film Festival, LA Shorts Fest, the International Festival of Cinema and Technology, and beyond. He was born and raised in Arcata, California.
