The Watchman's Canoe
Arizona Premiere of a new film by Director Barri Chase, a touching coming-of-age story about a young Native American girl. The Director and several of the cast members will be present for a post-screening Q&A.
Jett, a fair skinned Native American girl, struggles to fit in with her peers on the reservation, in 1969. After summoning the trees to shield her from bullies, she realizes her special connection with the surrounding nature of her new home. With the help of a tribal Watchman Jett embarks on a spiritual journey to discover her destiny. Standout performances from the entire cast of this sweet, funny and spiritual story make this a unique film.
