Steven Alan Green is a New York born, Beverly Hills raised stand up comedian, actor, and writer who started at The Comedy Store in the 80's heyday as one of the house MCs and gag writers, writing for the likes of Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall and Jimme "JJ" Walker. Moving to London 20 years ago, Steven became a headlining favorite in all of the major London and beyond comedy clubs, was a regular on BBC Radio Scotland, and appeared thrice on British telly. His four one-man shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival all gained critical acclaim, including "The consummate American entertainer" (The List). In 2000, Steven created and produced "High On Laughter (HOL)," a comedy show series for a drug and alcohol charity launched by Princess Diana. HOL I & II starred, amongst others, Cheers' George Wendt, Neil Mullarkey (Mike Myers' former comedy partner), Emo Philips, Rick Overton, and Zach Galifiankis. HOL III took place at the London Palladium, starring 15 great American and British stand ups, plus a one Jerry Lewis, and was broadcast on Bravo UK. Jerry "collapsed" backstage, making international news and leading to Steven's first and highly acclaimed one-man show. Steven hosted "The South Park Weekend" on Comedy Central UK and was "American Comedy Correspondent" for The Fred MacAuley Show on BBC 2 Radio Scotland. www.thelaughterfoundation.org
