Lunch Program - EcoDistricts
EcoDistricts are a powerful strategy for sharing infrastructure that benefits our environment, our communities, and our budgets. These emerging district system approaches are ideal for mixed-use developments, college and corporate campuses and broaden the traditional focus on energy, to consider three main areas of resource-efficiency: Energy, Water, Waste.
Learning Objectives: -Define what an EcoDistrict is and its key attributes
-Discuss the benefits of an EcoDistrict Systems approach in environmental terms
-Explain how advanced energy and water systems can become affordable when costs are spread across multiple buildings
-Recognize how the unique culture of sustainability an EcoDistrict creates can add social value to a neighborhood or community
