Molsky's Mountain Drifters - Workshops, Concert & Dance - Richmond, SW London
Join us for a fabulous afternoon and evening of the very best in Old Time music with MOLSKY'S MOUNTAIN DRIFTERS featuring: BRUCE MOLSKY (fiddle), ALLISON DE GROOT (banjo) and STASH WYSLOUCH (guitar).
From 3pm-5pm there will be fiddle, banjo and guitar workshops with Bruce, Allison and Stash. The workshops will combine some ensemble time with all three band members, followed by specialist instrument tuition with your chosen teacher, before we all reconvene for a final wrap-up session.
Places are strictly limited to 20 per teacher.
At 5pm there will be a break for soundchecking and preparing the upstairs hall. The downstairs room will be available for jam sessions.
Doors will open for the evening show at 7.45pm, with the first set starting around 8pm. After the interval we will hold a square dance. The evening will end at around 10.30pm.
Oddfellows Hall is 2 minutes walk from Richmond Station (District Line Tube), (Overground Rail - Clapham Jct/Waterloo) or (Overground Rail - Willesden Jct/Camden Rd/Hackney Central).
There is no bar but please BYOB and refreshments. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Tickets prices: workshop/concert/dance package £30; workshop-only £20*; concert/dance-only £12.
