Award-winning Marin School of the Arts Theatre Department presents its fall musical, Rodgers and Harts, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE. With a delightful, action-packed script by George Abbott, this spectacular show is filled with beautiful songs, many of which have become jazz standards.

Twins! More twins! Women-chased and chaste! The first musical ever adapted from Shakespeare remains the most madcap musical farce ever to animate the stage. Antipholus and his wily servant, Dromio, travel to Ephesus in search of their respective twins, from whom they were separated in a shipwreck. Naturally, they are immediately taken for their brothers and we're off and running on a riotous chase from marketplace to marital bed. Perplexed wives, disgruntled courtesans, outraged constables and an audience roaring with laughter are left in its wake before this show's tangled web is unraveled, and Rodgers & Hart & Abbott have triumphed once again!

Directed by Rodney Franz, with choreography by Devin Parker Sullivan, musical direction by Scott DeTurk, and Dr. Greg Johnson leading the MSA Jazz Orchestra, THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE promises to entrance. MSA Theatres artistic staff and students form a joyous ensemble which delights in creating physical, detailed, finished events. Last year, their production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying won Best Overall Production at the Rita Moreno California High School Musical Honors.

THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE opens Friday, November 3th, at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center at Marin School of the Arts, 625 Arthur Street, Novato. Shows continue Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm November 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th 18th, with 2:00 pm Sunday matinees, November 5th, 12th & 19th. Some tickets may be available at the door. Last year all seats were sold out BEFORE opening night. To avoid disappointment, its best to buy tickets online in advance at www.brownpapertickets.com.
