Improv comedy inspired by local music.
Every month, a different local musician performs their original music. After listening closely, the comedians from local improv groupThe Local Music Scenethen improvise comedic scenes based on the lyrics.
The Local Music Sceneis:Sarah Arnold,Laura Berger,Breanna Cecile,Liz Council,Jeff Gyllen,Nathan Kelly,Kelsey McGregor,Erik Ostrom,Shea Roberts,Will RobertsandPhilip Simondet.
The Local Music Scene has trained and performed at various local improv theaters, including The Brave New Workshop, ComedySportz Twin Cities, HUGE Theater and Jesters.
All of them either ARE local musicians or enjoy local music. At the VERY least, theyve heard the term "local music.
Becky Wilkinson Hauser (long-form improviser, storyteller, and actor) and Erik Ostrom (songwriter, composer, musician) started a band when they found themselves singing in a room together one winter in Minneapolis. Their soft, soothing stories and soundscapes offer warmth and comfort in a world that can be bleak and cold.
