Bob Lind & James Lee Stanley @ The GO! CANCELLED

Together for one lyrical, passion-filled Friday night: Two veteran singer-songwriters whose phenomenal creativity and guitar/vocal chops have only improved over the years. Both carry the 60s acoustic-folk tradition in their DNA. But they havent stopped there. Their music has continued to evolve. Theyre at the top of their game.

You may think you know them from their critically acclaimed records and CDs. But if youve never seen them in person, you dont know them at all.

Bob Lind is always unpredictable and disarming onstage  making you laugh one moment; bringing you to tears the next. Music critic Walter Savinski writes, Come see why this engaging poet/philosopher/guitarist/singer/wise-ass has endured in the sometimes-cruel and always-fickle music business for [five decades]. But be prepared to feel emotions you might not have let yourself feel in awhile. His songs hit the heart like a wrecking ball. (Photo by Henry Diltz)

James Lee Stanley combines hilarious stories with riveting music. His wonderful compositions and his heartfelt interpretations of songs by other great writers make him a unique and amazing performer. Famed novelist Tom Robbins says of him, A diamond has been smuggled into the wasteland. And here is where the wasteland ends. Believe The Village Voice when they say that when you come to hear James Lee, Youre in for a very entertaining evening.

ABOUT BOB LIND:  Totally unique and inimitable, Bob Lind writes, plays and sings like no one else  and hes been doing it for five decades!

In 1966, he helped launch and define Folk Rock, writing and singing the groundbreaking megahit Elusive Butterfly. It began an illustrious career as a songwriter that still continues today.

His songs have been recorded by more than 200 top artists including Aretha Franklin, Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton, Cher, The Four Tops, Petula Clark, Richie Havens, Marianne Faithfull, Kingston Trio, Dolly Parton, Johnny Mathis, Florence Henderson and Nancy Sinatra. His lyrics have been taught in colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada, and translated into nine languages.

His Cheryls Goin Home has become an international cult classic. It was covered by The Rokes and sold a million records in Italy. The legendary John Otway created the rock opera CHERYL around the song.

But as great a writer as he is, nothing equals the experience of watching Bob Lind deliver his own songs.

In 2010, filmmaker Paul Surratt released the highly acclaimed concert-documentary about Lind, BOB LIND: Perspective.

In 2013, Bob joined Dan Fogelberg, John Denver and other legends, being inducted into the COLORADO MUSIC HALL OF FAME along with Judy Collins.

Bob's last two albums FINDING YOU AGAIN (2012) and MAGELLAN WAS WRONG (2016) are being hailed as his best work yet.

ABOUT JAMES LEE STANLEY: It is only a long-lived singer-songwriter career that lets JAMES LEE STANLEY unite the unpredictable creative turns and the eclectic elements that make up his world. His remarkable ability as a vocalist and composer allow him to create songs, each recorded with finely crafted skill. The guitar orchestrations enhance the meaningful lyrics.

But a whole new dimension is added when James Lee performs live. His incredible songs, coupled with his outrageously hilarious repartee, make for an evening of hilarity, tenderness and one of the most entertaining concerts on the circuit.

In 1998, when his FREELANCE HUMAN BEING album was released, Fi Magazine listed it as one of the finest recordings of the year  and one of the top-200 recordings of all time!

James Lee has been recording and performing since he was 14. Since returning from the USAF (as a Chinese linguist) hes toured with such diverse acts as Bonnie Raitt, Robin Williams, and Nicolette Larson. Famed comedian Steven Wright chose him as his opening act for three years in a row  a testament to James Lees professionalism and talent.
