Growing Power Harvest Dinner Sponsored by Barilla US
Growing Power Chicago is part of a national nonprofit organization and land trust supporting people from diverse backgrounds, and the environments in which they live, by helping to provide equal access to healthy, high-quality, safe and affordable food for people in all communities.
The work we do changes lives, but it is only possible due to the generous support of concerned neighbors who pitch-in however and whenever they can whether it is helping to plant or tend a garden, evangelizing our mission, or making a financial investment in our work, neighbors and local businesses power our movement.
Growing Power Chicago, with the generous support of Barilla US, would like to cordially invite you to our 2nd Annual Harvest Celebration.
This years event will be Wednesday, September 27th from 5-7pm. We are excited to show off our new urban farm! We will kick off the event from 4-5pm with a VIP reception and garden tour with Growing Power Director, Erika Allen. Guests are welcome to walk the gardens from 5pm- 5:30pm. Dinner will be served at 5:30pm.
The Harvest Celebration will showcase our work and will help to fund three Growing Power initiatives:
Our Greenhouse, needed for year-round production. Fresh Moves Mobile Markets, a mobile grocery store providing healthy options to underserved neighborhoods. Education Programs for our Pre-K earlier learners to teens in our Youth Corps.
We hope you will join us at the Harvest Celebration and ask that you consider attending!
Individual Tickets - $50 suggested donation per person
Every donation is important and the need is always great. However, our community means everything to us and no one will be turned away from the Harvest Celebration.
We hope to see you at this unique event and are so grateful for your consideration. Learn more about Growing Power at www.growingpower.org.
