Flannel Fest North
Stone After Stone Records presents FlannelFest in collaboration with Mile of Music.
For the first time, Flannel Fest is coming to Downtown Appleton and its newest original music venue - Gibson Music Hall!
Now in its fourth year in Madison, Flannel Fest has become an annual celebration of local, regional and national Americana music. And new in 2017 we are bringing Flannel Fest to Appleton in partnership with Mile of Music Productions. Bust out your favorite flannel attire and join the fall-inspired party with some of Wisconsin's most talented and decorated Wisco-Americana artists. The evening ends with a bang as we welcome our honorary "Cheesehead" special headliner Lillie Mae who's latest album was produced by mega-producer Jack White of The White Stripes.
We are once again pleased to partner with Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund, the non-profit benefactor of Flannel Fest. The Keep Wisconsin Warm/Cool Fund (KWW/CF) is a statewide non-profit charitable effort that steps in and keeps the heat and power on for thousands of elderly, people with disabilities, veterans and working families with young children in crisis. As a result of generous public, private, business and individual support, KWW/CF provides preventative services and the financial assistance necessary to avert energy-related crisis situations. The KWW/CF provides the only safety net that keeps those most in need safely in their homes.
Thank you Flannel Fest for your support. It made such a difference in keeping the heat and power on for so many in need in our community. We are very much looking forward to this years event.

Lillie Mae has been singing and playing on stages across the country since she could stand on her own two feet. THE MASCOT THEORY:
A high-energy dose of toe-tapping Americana folk-country rock drenched in tight harmonies spewing lyrics of love, loss, regret, death, and hope. With groups like Mumford & Sons, The Avett Brothers, and Dawes setting the tone, the sub-genre of acoustic folk rock made its way to mainstream radio and captured an incredible and very loyal fan base. With the release of their Nashville-recorded album Hand Me Down Miracles, the Esperanto EP, and the most recent Trust and Bones album, The Mascot Theory is set to be the next band in that category to make a major impact, as they have quickly moved up the popularity ranks of Madison's music scene with their infectious songwriting and energetic live shows. They balance on an alternative folk influence and pull it together with a rootsy bluegrass blended Americana feel to give something that fits alongside their counterparts, but also has enough freshness to it to give it a unique spin and create their own sound as well, with a sonic backbone of 4-part harmony swells. BETH KILLE BAND:
At first glance, you may not know what to make of them....the farm boy, the intellectual, the ex-Marine, all backing up a wild-haired, shoot-from-the-hip spirited woman. But then the show begins, and you know you're about to be wrapped in the arms of a cohesive unit bonded in the kinship of music. The four members of the Beth Kille Band -Michael Mood (bass, backing vocals), Tony Kille (drums), Michael Tully (guitar, backing vocals) and Kille herself (guitar, mandolin, vocals) - have amassed some impressive accolades. In addition to numerous songwriting recognitions, Kille grabbed one of her 19 Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards when she was named "Artist of the Year" in 2010 and Tully snagged the highly-competitive "Guitarist of the Year" Award in 2014. Their style can best be described as Americana Rock but these dynamic performers can play everything from folk to funk to in-your-face rock.

In a brown house on Nancy Lane in Green Bay, WI., sisters Andi and Alex Peot stumbled on something celestial, before they were old enough to understand it. Always in harmony -- be it through music, genetics or that inexplicable telekinesis only kin can relate to -- the twins come from a family of musicians and dreamers. Andi and Alex are the fearless frontrunners of the alt-rock four-piece that borrows the namesake of their grandmother in hopes of replicating her intrinsic strength to navigate the music business and embrace their biggest passions. The two serendipitously took NBCs The Voice by storm in 2015 as Andi and Alex. Grateful for the national platform, vocal growth and what performing in millions of Americans living rooms week-after-week did for their overall mission, it still became clear upon exiting the show that the girls were ultimately destined to forge their own path -- the less-traveled, grittier, but more rewarding one of an independent act ruled by its own creative convictions. Songwriting for Andi and Alex is like stop-and-go traffic minus the fury and frustration. If anything, it reflects how their shared DNA is almost exclusive to their perfect, shared complements. Andi starts a song from a quiet place, usually on piano or guitar, while Alex perfects and adapts. After all, its the fitting backstory to their forthcoming LP, I Feel Better, which sings catharsis praises. LOST LAKES:
Lost Lakes is a collaboration between Corey Mathew Hart and Paul Mitch. The two met during a songwriting competition held by a local radio station. It wasn't until they returned for a duets portion of the follow year's competition that Corey saw Paul play bass and singing harmonies. The first time Corey and Paul played together, they clicked musically and personally. The collaboration has grown over the years, developing into a strong songwriting and production team with a focus on well-crafted tunes and tight vocal harmonies. Lost Lakes' self-titled debut record bears witness to their talents and the fact the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. Being able to take their time for this project gave Corey and Paul a lot of freedom to try different sounds and arrangements for songs they have been playing live for a couple of years. With no pressure, no deadline, and a giant warehouse space filled with eclectic gear, the two managed to create a record of the highest quality. When it came time to mix the album, Corey and Paul called on an old acquaintance, Grammy award winning engineer Justin Guip. Guip's aesthetic greatly aligned with the vision that Paul and Corey had for the record, and the result is a compelling masterpiece.
