Join us at the Tabor Opera House on Saturday, September 30th for an evening of celebration and Savoring the Tabor! The Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation and St. Vincent Hospital are proud to present Emily Pulley (Metropolitan Opera), Jocelyn Claire Thomas, and Zachary Lenox in a gala concert. These three exquisite artists will be accompanied by University of Colorado Boulder Professor Jeremy Reger. The evening will feature staged songs and scenes from your favorite musicals and operas. The Lake County High School Chamber Choir will also be performing as a part of the gala.
Acclaimed soprano Emily Pulleys radiant voice and electrifying acting have won her both national and international acclaim on the operatic stages. Of her recent performance with Mill City Opera in Sweeney Todd, critics said The dark side hollered balefully in soprano Emily Pulleys half-crazed Beggar Woman, and, of her performance in Il tabarro with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Soprano Emily Pulley makes an auspicious Opera Theatre debut as Giorgetta, perfectly capturing the characters longing and conflict with a dark, almost mezzo voice and finely tuned acting. As the Governess in The Turn of the Screw with Boston Lyric Opera, Opera News exclaimed, Emily Pulley was outstanding as the embattled Governess. The role fits Pulleys voice like a glove, and she captured the psychological complexity and heartbroken innocence of one of Brittens great tragic characters.
Soprano Jocelyn Claire Thomas has reviewed as staggeringly brilliantThomas ethereal soprano causing a tear or two more than oncetruly magic in the air.
Baritone Zachary Lenox has been viewed as "a broad, resonant baritone that is exquisitely controlled throughout his entire range and brings a rich and powerful presence to the stage.
Do not miss your opportunity to experience the high quality performances by these talented artists! We look forward to seeing you at the Tabor Opera House and supporting the future of this historic building.
