After School Art Club - Fall 2017
Calling all 5th-8th grade artists! You are invited to join BIMA's After School Art Club on Monday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm in the Classroom. Be inspired by the museum's current exhibitions. Explore new techniques and materials. Create your own works of art.
September 25 Cyanotype Explore one of the oldest photographic techniques through direct contact printing on handmade cyanotype paper.
October 2 Watercolor Experiment with a variety of different types of watercolors and techniques.
October 9 Batik Learn how to batik, a process of dyeing fabric using a wax resist, and make your own fabric banner.
October 16 Acrylic Painting Paint landscapes and animals inspired by the work of Robert McCauley.
October 23 Imaginative Drawing Use your imagination, and a variety of drawing materials, to create fantastical visual stories.
October 30 Dia de los Muertos Puppets Make puppets for Mexican Day of the Dead from wire, fabric and paper.
Sold as a 6 week series pass. Price includes all materials.
