The Castle Builder
The beautiful Theatre Royal Margate, home to the oldest working stage in the UK, is the setting for Kid Carpet and Vic Llewellyns' musical, magical, moving & comic journey through the minds of some of our planets most eccentric and creative individuals. This smash-hit success of the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe spirals outwards from personal accounts into tales of outsider artists who have been inspired to build gigantic extraordinary structures, alone, in secret, and without artistic validation from the real world.
The show also includes the presence of an invited local maker/artisan who constructs during the duration of the piece and presents something unique to the audience at the climax of the show.

There will be a pre-show 'curtain-raiser' by Thanet's Filigree Mask Theatre, a short performance after taking workshops with the company.
