SHARON AND MIA + CHARLIE AND SHARON + SHARON AND ROMAN
For fans of American and pop culture, history, movies and Hollywood, and for anyone, the plays are a window into the turbulent 60s and how love lives on. Together the plays tell the story of actress and model Sharons Tates life before and after her murder in an imaginary cycle of stories, beginning with the acclaimed first one, SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN the solo play. Now, these duo pieces flesh out the life of Sharon and her best friend, murderer, and husband now in exile from America. Together they paint a bigger picture of Sharon Tates life that was tragically cut short after a promising hit as Jennifer North in VALLEY OF THE DOLLS for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe.

The plays span 1967 to the present day. Sharon Tate was born in Dallas Texas in 1943 and murdered by members of the Manson Family in August 1969 in her home she shared with her husband, film director Roman Polanski. MIA AND SHARON is a four scene story of a friendship that began on the set of ROSEMARYS BABY in 1967. Mia Farrow is from Hollywood royalty and Sharon is an Army Brat but the two strike up a friendship that is deep and true as witnessed through transition and challenges for Mia after Sharons death. The play is a funny, heartfelt look at love, men, Mias marriage to Frank Sinatra and Sharons to Roman, family, and career. CHARLIE AND SHARON is A dark comedy imaginary meeting between Sharon and Charles Manson who orchestrated her murder that takes place in four scenes after her death in 1969. SHARON AND ROMAN is a four scene romance story of love and marriage between a holocaust surviver from Poland, Roman, and a Texas all American girl, Sharon. It shows how love conquers all through trauma and tragedy. Together the plays are about compassion and are both comedy and drama.

MIA AND SHARON plays Saturday October 7 @7  and Sunday October 8 @2. CHARLIE AND SHARON plays Saturday October 14 @7. SHARON AND ROMAN plays Saturday October 21 @7. Each performance is followed by a talkback with the actors and the director of the plays, Obie-winning Austin Pendleton.
