Hamlet
The Shakespearean tragedy is skillfully directed by Carla Spindt and runs at the Conservatory Theatre from November 4th to November 8th. The story of the Prince of Denmark is reimagined to include an all female cast of students from Tamalpais High School.
Set in a dystopian future, the play follows the story of Prince Hamlet who has come home to find that his uncle, Claudius, has taken his place on the throne and has married the Queen after the passing of his father. As if this were not distressing enough, the ghost of his father appears to him and imparts the secret that Claudius was his murderer. Hamlet must decide what to do when asked to properly avenge his fathers murder.
The play is being put on by the Tam Drama Program, Conservatory Theatre Ensemble. Performances will start at 7 pm nightly and will take place at the Caldwell Theatre on the campus of Tam High, 700 Miller Avenue in Mill Valley, California. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, and $12 for adults.
