In 2002, Gina took her first Zumba class in order to get back in shape after having her third childand was hooked immediately. Today, the mother of four values the exhilarating and effective workout that Zumba classes provide her en route to a career traveling the world as a Zumba® Education Specialist (ZES).
A professional dancer and choreographer by training, Grant has more than 15 years of dance and fitness experience. She is a master of various genresincluding tap, jazz, hip-hop, Hawaiian, Tahitian and musical theatreand a former dancer/choreographer for the NBAs Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers. She put her dance background to good use to co-create the Zumba® Kids program (formerly known as Zumbatomic®), a unique fitness program that adapts the Zumba philosophy to the physiology and abilities of young children.
Grant has been recognized by worldwide media as a leading fitness expert, gracing magazine covers internationally, presenting on NBCs Today show, CBS Early Show, Extra and Access Hollywoodand has made special appearances on stage with major recording artists that include Pitbull, Wyclef Jean, Sean Paul, Daddy Yankee, Paulina Rubio, Claudia Leitte, Dahrio Wonder and J. Perry to name a few. Most recently, Gina shared the stage with internationally renowned DJ Lil Jon in the first- ever Zumba® Nightclub Series, which sold out night, clubs across the East Coast. Grant also made a cameo in Daddy Yankees music video for his chart-topping hit Limbo.
Gina resides in Portland, Ore., and travels the world for Zumba to share her vision and expertise with a broad audience of dance and fitness enthusiasts.
Dahrio Wonder is a San Francisco Bay Area native who has worked with some of the industry's top recording artists as a professional dancer and choreographer. As a dancer, choreographer and instructor he has performed and worked with Britney Spears, Madonna, Angela Winbush, Zumba®, and the late salsa legend Celia Cruz. In 2007, he penned a music publishing deal with Foxx King/Bug Music (ASCAP), and was also an opening act on select dates for The Isley Brothers US tour. In 2012, Wonder joined the Gina & Tanya Zumba® tour as the featured music artist, entertaining crowds in cities throughout the US and Canada. In 2013, Wonder joined Zumba® creator Beto Perez to write and perform, Came Here To Party and following in 2015, Wonder and Perez collaborated again on "Get Up." His music can be found on Zumba® ZIN volumes and Mega Mixes, as well as on iTUNES, APPLE MUSIC and SPOTIFY! His latest single, #GETLOOSE has been heating up classes around the world and is the theme of Wonder and Grant's new tour!
