Anna Karenina Lives!
Vaudeville icon Mae West teams up with Russian diarist Sophia Tolstoy, widow to the famous author, in a musical romp through time and space to save Anna Karenina with the power of free love and vaudeville.
Written by Germaine Shames, this new play features some of the greatest hits of 1919 re-purposed for a musical comedy that defies the white, male monopoly on the Western canon.
Anna Karenina Lives will perform at 353 W. 48th St. on October 14th, 15th, and 21st at 8 PM; and October 21st and 22nd at 2 PM.
