Keith Greeninger and Rita Hosking
Keith Greeninger and Rita Hosking have each performed separately on Oaksong Music Society stages and have become crowd favorites. On Friday November 17, they join forces for a special concert, playing both alone and together. Rounding out the bill will be Sean Feder on banjo, dobro and harmony vocals.

Santa Cruz-based singer-songwriter Keith Greeninger possesses the lyricism of Jackson Browne, the righteous indignation of Bruce Cockburn and, at times, the vocal intensity of Joe Cocker.
Yet comparing him to other artists doesnt feel quite right because Greeningers music and his soulful voice are distinctly original and authentic. Greeninger is a seasoned troubadour, a multi-award-winning songwriter, and an unforgettable performer. His most recent album, Soul Connection, features members of the Bonnie Raitt Band and Little Feat. Solo and in collaboration with his trio, City Folk, and as a duo with Dayan Kai, Keith has performed at The Kate Wolf Festival, The High Sierra Music Festival, The Sisters Folk Festival, and The Oregon Country Fair. His masterfully crafted tunes and powerful presence have earned him top songwriting awards at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival (2005 Telluride Troubadour National Songwriting Competition), The Kerrville Folk Festival (1997 New Folk Songwriters Contest) and The Napa Valley Folk Festival (1997 Napa Valley Festival Songwriters Showcase). Eugene Weekly says, Greeningers music has a dramatic quality to it. A storyteller in song, he paints masterful portraits of humanity in both its splendor and strife.

Shasta County native Rita Hosking writes and sings classic country-folk originals. Her songs sound like theyve been around for a while  and deserve to stay around a lot longer! Rita grew up near Montgomery Creek in eastern Shasta County  in a haunted house on Hatchet Mountain, according to a story she told NPRs Weekend Edition  and now lives in Davis. She's been called the best kept secret in country-folk, by the British newspaper the Daily Mirror, and her razor-sharp songs and great live performances bear out the claim. Acoustic Magazine praises her timeless, unhurried elegance. Shes released an album every two years since 2005, including her sixth and latest, Frankie and the No-Go Road, which The Guardian describes as one of Americanas finest concept albums, showcasing Ritas sure musical touch and distinctive homespun vocal style. Ritas honors include winning the 2008 Dave Carter Memorial Songwriting Contest at the Sisters Folk Festival, placing as a finalist in the 2009 Telluride Music Festival Troubadour Contest, and more.
