Parlor of Mystery & South Shore Theatre present Mentalism Magic
MAGIC MENTALISM
Professional mentalist Jason Suran will be reading minds and magicians Vincent Mendoza, Thaddeus and Ziggy will be casting spells at a mentalism magic show like none other at the September Parlor of Mystery in the Parlors NEW home at 115 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. The show will feature mind-bending close-up magic, spectacular mentalism and a good dose of comedy by award-winning performers.
Jason Suran is one of the most sought after performers of mind-reading magic in America. His unique blend of psychology and deception has led him to perform in cities around the world from Haiti to Dubai. In addition to his work abroad, Jason is a regular fixture at some of the most exclusive venues in New York. He has performed close up magic at Carnegie Hall, read minds on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, and has captivated celebrities in living rooms and private clubs across the city including The Soho House and The National Arts Club. He takes no responsibility for any bent spoons found at any of these locations. When he's not on stage, Jason also works as a private consultant, helping professionals improve their interpersonal skills in the boardroom.
Vincent Mendoza is a polished performer of almost three decades with a calm, confident demeanor and skills that will astound and amaze. A member of the prestigious Magic Circle in London with the designation of Associate of The Inner Magic Circle (with Silver Star), he and his magic have become much sought after. Vincent is regarded highly among his peers as an innovative thinker and creator. He has been asked to share his magic at the invitation-only 4F gathering of the world's top close-up magicians.
Intermission is Ziggytime. Ziggy is an accomplished close-up magician with charm, personality, quick wit and extraordinary skills. He changes the time on watches, duplicates pictures and even bends borrowed coins right in the spectator's own hands. A skilled sleight of hand artist you can expect to see Ziggy borrow money, rings, and other objects from his audience making the unimaginable happen right in front of their eyes.
Emcee, Thaddeus, has been performing in Long Island theaters for over 30 years as an actor and a magician. Thaddeus annually presents his one-man magic show at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center to raves. With wife Debbie, Thaddeus started and runs the South Shore Theatre Experience. Thaddeus is also one of the originators of the Parlor of Mystery and often produces and emcees our shows.
The Parlor of Mysterys home is the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. Its the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 45. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non-profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects.
Tickets are $15 and available on-line, and at the door, however, space is limited.
