The Revolutionists
PaperHouse Theatre is proud to bring this exciting new work to the Queen City.
The Revolutionsists by Lauren Gunderson is a brutal comedic quartet about four very real women who lived boldly in France during the French Revolutions Reign of Terror (1793-1794).
Former queen Marie Antoinette, playwright Olympe De Gouge, assassin Charlotte Corday, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, murder Marat, lose their heads, and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793s Paris.
What was a hopeful revolution for the people is now sinking into hyper violent hypocritical male rhetoric. However will modern audiences relate?
Parking is available on site. Enter Camp North End from Statesville Road and follow our Pink and Blue Signs to Goodyear Arts new space.
*This venue is a pop up theatre in an arts space (Goodyear Arts). Goodyear is located within a larger mixed use complex called Camp North End.*
