Akil the MC (of Jurassic 5):
Akil is one of the founding members of the Los Angeles Hip Hop group, Jurassic 5. He played a major role in J5's success contributing as an MC, song & chorus writer, producer, live show cordinator, dj, and the group's community-active social butterfly.
Akil was born and raised in LA where he was first introduced to the knowledge, rhythm, and understanding of the universal culture of hip hop. Akil takes his musical talents and influence from his mother who was a dancer and father who was a dj and record collector. Akil was also influenced by the dance culture that existed as a child in the 70's from Robotin to Poppin and Lockin'. Akil started DJing in 1982 and b-boying and emceeing in 83-84 - all while heavily entertaining the idea of being an athlete.

29 years later, Akil the MC hasn't stopped, can't stop, and won't stop. Even though his group, Jurassic 5 called it quits in 2006, Akil continues to shine his light, music, and message of peace, love, unity, & having fun world-wide - traveling extensively to the remotest parts of the globe to deliver pure hip-hop.

Quanstar:
Quanstar is considered one of Hip Hop's true Renaissance Artists. The Atlanta based emcee has taken the independent hip hop world by storm using passion, innovation, and 'plain ole' hard work to stretch the envelope and showcase his multitude of talents and interests.
Inspired by artists, like Jay-Z, El-P, and Hieroglyphics starting companies and taking ownership of their careers because of the lack of fiscal and creative control that the record labels were allowing artists to have, Quanstar along with Evaready RAW formed First Team Music Management. Through FTM, they're only objective has been, "If we think it, then we'll do it".
Since, Quanstar has released 10 albums, starred and executive produced a documentary (Do It!: A Documentary), and toured internationally; in addition to these, he's written a book (Water From Turnips), writes a blog on being an independent musician (Indie Hip Hop 101), does a cooking show with his 6 and 3 year old sons (Cooking With Quanstar), and designs Android Applications.
Never being signed to a label or having a major investor, Quanstar has accepted and embraced being an independent artist while setting out to prove three things:
He can do anything that he puts his mind to.
He doesn't need much to do it.
Everything is hip hop.

An underground media mogul, he has been a tireless promoter, published author, and celebrated performer - sharing the stage with legends such as Del the Funky Homosapien, Das EFX, The Artifacts, Souls of Mischief, Nappy Roots, Cypress Hill, The Jungle Brothers, Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, and many more. On this tour, he's joined by long-time collaborator, Coach K - owner of indie label, Now Freedom Music.

Martin Snoddy is an east coast emcee. His rhyme is presented over golden era, "Preemo" style beats with sharp jabs of rhythmic fluidity. He demonstrates a confident control while displaying the mastery of his craft. He is great. And for this particular event, he's comin with a gang!
