The breakout hit of the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival! A true story about pickles, ignorance, prejudice, and the Minnesota State Fair. The Fair rejects Doris traditional kosher pickles, claiming that they look spoiled. Something funkys going on and shes going to raise hell! A darkly comedic look at pickle prejudice.

Angela Timberman (Doris) lives in Minneapolis with her husband actor Jay Albright, and their two sons Sam and Abe. She is a member of Actors Equity Association. Deborah Yarchun (Author) is an NYC-based playwright. Her plays have been developed at Ensemble Sudio Theatre, The New Harmony Project, Jewish Plays Project, The Great Plains Theatre Conference, Jewish Ensemble Theatre, Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Red Eye Theatre, and Workhouse Theater Company, and produced at Fusion Theatre, EstroGenius Festival, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Festival, Playwrights Horizons Peter Jay Sharp Theatre by Young Playwrights Inc., and at theaters and universities across the United States and Canada. Honors include two Jerome Fellowships at The Playwrights Center, an EST/Sloan Commission, The Kennedy Centers Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award, the Kernodle New Play Award, the Richard Maibaum Playwriting Award, and an Iowa Arts Fellowship. MFA, University of Iowa.

Basil Considine (Director) is an award-winning director, composer, and playwright. As the Artistic Director of Really Spicy Opera, he has guided the premieres of more than 15 new musicals, plays, and operas. PhD, MTS, Boston University. BA, University of San Diego.

Really Spicy Opera is an award-winning performing arts organization dedicated to producing thrilling and moving works for the musical and dramatic stage. Although the company produces classic musicals and operas for tours, educational programs, and special engagements, its primary focus is on developing new musical works for the stage. Since 2006, the company has presented 16 world premieres of new musicals and operas, as well as numerous workshops and readings. It also presents educational outreach programming for children.

RSO recently concluded its 11th season with a series of national and international engagements, including appearances at the O'ahu, Maui, Tampa, Orlando, Montreal, and Minnesota Fringe Festivals and a performance tour in the American South. Its award-winning production of Game of Thrones: The Musical was the best-selling show for its venue in O'ahu and the best-selling show for the whole festival in Tampa. Its production of the one-woman play A Pickle was 100% sold out at the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival, received an encore performance (also sold out), and was a recipient of the Twin Cities Arts Reader's "Best of Fringe" Award.

In 2018, RSO will officially kick off its Women in Opera Initiative, a 3-year program to produce new operas written by women. Works produced in this series must be written 50% or more by female writers, have a majority of female characters, and avoid common opera stereotypes and tropes.
