This culinary excursion will take us down to the bayou where we will discover the rich culture & history of Creole & Cajun cuisine. Learn how to make roux and how to use it, Louisiana spices & seasonings, as well as the fresh vegetables, meats & seafood that make a gumbo "stick to your ribs!"
It is okra time on the farm! Okra will be the key ingredient to make a "Gumbo-- like you mean it". Centuries ago people from across the globe came to Louisiana's shores where the melting pot of humanity created cuisine and art like no other! Join us to recreate these fabulous flavors hands-on.
