Patricia Smith is the author of eight books of poetry, including Incendiary Art; Shoulda Been Jimi Savannah, winner of the Lenore Marshall Prize from the Academy of American Poets and Blood Dazzler, a National Book Award finalist. Beth Bachmann is a recent Guggenheim Fellow and the author of two books from Pitt Poetry Series: Temper, winner of the AWP Donald Hall Prize and Kate Tufts Discovery Award, and Do Not Rise, winner of the Poetry Society of Americas Alice Fay di Castagnola Award. David Tomas Martinez is a CantoMundo fellow and recipient of a 2017 NEA fellowship, the Pushcart Prize and the Verlaine Poetry Prize.
