VOICES is a 40-minute documentary tribute to Al Miller, Wendy Poole, and 45 years of young people who have found at home at the Theater Project in Brunswick. The film follows the 2015 production of Voices in the Mirror, an annual sketch comedy show produced by an ensemble from high schools around the area, under the direction of Wendy Poole. It locates this show within the larger perspective of how profoundly this theater has affected the lives of young people in the community.
It was produced, directed, and edited by Jeff Fischer of Third Chapter Films in Bowdoinham (thirdchapterfilms.com). The film includes interviews with three of the students in the show, as well as Theater Project directors Al Miller and Wendy Poole, and alumni from the Young Peoples Theater from the 70s to the present.
