Then and Now Gala
The smash hit "Then and Now" program is returning with some favorites from last year and some entirely new sites
What used to be where the "Truth Is Beauty" statue is now? What did the bridge over E. 14th Street look like in the 1800s? What is now on the site of the auto race track? Enjoy a slide show and stories of old and new San Leandro, join friends for a delicious catered dinner, win raffle items, and help the San Leandro Historical Society raise funds to enrich the future by preserving the past.
We encourage audience participation -- see who can guess what is now on the site when we show the "then" photograph.
Entree choices are Beef Tri-Tip, Baked Salmon, or Eggplant Parmesan.
Last year's show sold out to an enthusiastic audience. Don't miss this year's event, which we've moved to the Senior Community Center.
