4th Annual A Book that Changed My Life
Come on out to Literacy Works' 4th Annual A Book that Changed My Life event! We'll have ten speakers talking about the books that changed their lives. Whether poignant, funny, weird, sweet, or all of the above, these stories will demonstrate the power of books to set a new course for the reader. You'll get to use your dollars to vote for your favorite presentation; all money raised at the event and through ticket sales benefits Literacy Works!
We're thrilled to welcome back Tony Sarabia of WBEZ's The Morning Shift and Radio M as our emcee. We're also very excited to be back at Fulton Street Collective in Chicago's West Town neighborhood.
General Admission is $20; Generous souls who wish to sponsor a tutor pay $50 and receive a Books Change Lives t-shirt the night of the event. We'll have beer and wine to share for a suggested donation.
This event was inspired by photographer Dennis Sevilla's amazing project, Books that Changed My Life. Don't forget to bring the book that changed YOUR life so Dennis can snap your portrait with it!
