Spotlight Youth Theatre Actors Boot Camp
This is a 5 day intensive theatrical workshop for the serious theatre student wishing to gain experience and technique in all things theatre including movement, finding the actors voice, audition & call back preparation, scene study and improvisation.
The goals of this workshop are to train students how to master an audition/callback, awareness of self on stage and proper use of voice culminating in a performance of assorted scenes that highlight learned techniques. This workshop is best suited to students that already have some exposure to live theatre and are looking to build their skills for future productions in the community and beyond. It is expected of the student to arrive each day on time and ready to participate in each activity and to keep an open mind and a great attitude.

Required Materials
Clothing- Comfortable theatre blacks. This is a solid black long or short sleeve T-shirt and solid black leggings, yoga pants or sweatpants. Please arrive to class already dressed and ready to warm up. Shoes- sneakers or flat dance shoes and worn at all times. NO open toed/heeled shoes, sandals, flip flops, high heels or wedges.
Have your favorite audition monologue ready to perform Monday, otherwise, one will be chosen for you.
Sack lunch and water. We will take a 40 minute break halfway through each session. Notepad and pencil or pen
